I’m pretty upset about constant rejection on online dating sites. Any suggestions? ?
I am a 33 year old guy. About a month ago I registered at Plenty of Fish. I made a nice profile and put up a nice pic. I am not a picky guy at all. I don’t even really care about looks. I just want to find a nice woman. I am not a bad looking guy and I am a nice guy. But my success rate is 0%! It is sad. Only a couple women have messaged me. I almost always have to message women first because I hear women usually don’t make the first contact. So I do message a lot of women. But after 1 or 2 messages, I never hear from them again. I think some women are super super picky. And some of these women aren’t even great looking. They are very heavy and their profiles are kind of mean spirited. Bah… I am getting discouraged. I’m amazed how you put yourself out there!! You don’t seem like a shallow/fake person –meaning someone who likes to color-code every little thing about himself. I’ve known people like that who just love to talk about themselves & hardly (or never) mention any of their flaws…that alone annoys the hell out of me!! Because I often wonder if these color-coded people will, not only be there for me in good times (e.g., obsessed with socializing), but if they’ll also be there for me in bad times (e.g., need a helping hand or being supportive regardless of the circumstance). In other words, I like searching for a "true" friend more than just someone to go on a "traditional" date with –like the typical dinner, movie etc., but it’s certainly easier said than done.
~I’ve never done the online dating thing ’cause I’ve always felt it has a negative connotation to it. But I’ve heard & read some success stories from those who have done it. My former co-worker met his wife on eHarmony.com & they’ve been married for 5 years. Also, I agree with "DoubleD"’s comment —the qualities in a woman that he mentioned. You might want to try another dating site. You don’t want to get with those types of picky (and ugly to boot) women anyway.
Maybe you should start being picky. I am turned off by men I think flirt with anyone and everyone. Do you use generic messages toward all these women? Have you ever thought that some of the women may know each other? Women do not want to think their man is looking for anyone, they want someone who was looking for them.

Dude I’m a handsome Army guy and have no problems with scoring with women. The problem is there just aren’t any wife quality or women looking for long term commitment. They may think they are, but their actions aren’t consistant with that. Here’s what you do: Look for a foreign woman. Try the Philippines. There are very good women there that will never cheat and will be faithful. I’m 29 and my wife is a 26yr old college educated Filipina. We both serve each other. Some of what she does is: At 430 AM when I’m in the shower, she puts tooth paste on my tooth brush. When I’m shaving and brushing teeth she lays out my uniform. When I’m at PT, she cooks my lunch and breakfast. Then she does what she calls "her chores" while I’m at work. Most women will never stay awake the same hours I’m awake for work.
