So I went out a couple of times with this guy I really like.
First date went great but he called like a week and a half later for a second one.
I didn’t feel it was a date though since we went out with his friends( does that count as a date?)
He seems interested but I am not sure, and I don’t want to get hurt if he’s not.

In almost a month we’ve only went out twice .
I sorta feel like he is interested because: he stares at my eyes when we talk, pays when we go out , smiles and pays attention, asks me questions about myself, opens up about his personal ambitions and life, introduced me to his best friend and any friend that we see and he also seems shy around me (but not around other people).

The part where I’m getting confused is: He only asked me out twice , never tried to kiss or touch me ( except for forearm touching in the car). Doesn’t make any compliments and is not trying to spend more time with me. Also I noticed he never gives me any future plans at the end of the date so I’m never sure if we’ll go out again.

Now some friends have suggested that maybe because I’m white and he’s Chinese that there might be some cultural differences. But the thing is we’re grown people and he was born and raised here. I don’t care I just like the guy but I don’t know if that’s the case for him.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to make this work. Any insight. Is it normal that he;s taking so long, or is it a sign of disinterest?
