Does anyone share their experiences with online dating(like match.com)- any tips or thoughts on it as well.?

I have tried online dating like match.com- I have noticed a few things and I wonder if any other guys have noticed these things
or is it just me- also any females opinions or insight is welcome also.
I have noticed that
1) I have written to a lot of women& most do not write back
I get a very small response & sometimes unsolciited responses,
like some people say they are from africa or russia & I thinlk
they are scams.
2) alot of women don’t veen look my profile, they just look
at the email real quick.-why do they do this ?
is this the norm? Do guys have a harder time -like
many men writing to one woman ???
3) Its easy to get discouraged- is it worth it to spend my time ???

I have tried eharmony, yahoo, match, match international, some russian site, and had initial contact with hundreds
before finally meeting THE ONE 
We have been married 2 years and I am in heaven. With that said here is the lowdown on each site and with all sites beware of lies and deceit….end anything if she is fast or they ask for ANY amount of $….never write to anyone without seeing a pic (it is indication of lack of sincerity and someone who is not open)
eharmony DOES connect people with accounts that are no longer active ( they were sending my info to people LONG after I closed account) – no wonder so many I wrote to wouldn’t reply
yahoo is filled with scams and COMMERCIALS disguised as people looking for dates
match will net the most contacts but you have to do all the screening to find the decent people
match international was filled with the most honest and decent people both near ( same town) and far (china) but again there are those to be wary of….no site nor any physical place in this world will be free of people who lie….i met both honest and fake people from russia and just about every other part of the world including my hometown and it is about the same mixture of good and evil everywhere…just use your instinct and take it slow…the biggest mistake is when a person thinks they will find someone quickly….best of luck
I also tried most of the on-line dating sites. Like you, my responses were all similar in that they were all very far away in some distant country (and continent), or never responded to my e-mails I sent them. Then I tried the site for eHarmony. yes, it is a site you will eventually have to pay to use (I believe they still have a free trial period), but it is THE one site to try when all others seem to have failed!! The personall questionnaire is long and indepth, but if answered honestly, will actually match you with the type of woman you are looking for. Sometimes the wait can be a while, but again, it is worth the wait!! You might want to check it out….it worked for me!!
these things are all for losers
i have had similar points that you mention, i have been out a few times on dates, my thoughts are that 90% of the women make a business out of free dinners and then they move on to the next guy, a friend of mine dated on line, and when he told me, it was the same girl i was emailing and we got identical replies .there .are genuine girls that want a partner, but its hard work finding one, you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your soul mate.
