Is there a legal way to check someones license plates? Someone please help my 6 yr old brother is..?
My mom met some guy over an internet dating service, met him several times in person over the course of 2 or 3 weeks then brought him back to her house to ‘meet the kids’.
He was supposed to stay a night or two, a week and a half later he’s still there. He claims to ‘work for the government’ and hes a ‘jockey’ and ‘he also works a horse farm’. This guy is like 53 yrs old. He told me, when i asked him while my mom was out of the room that ‘he lives in florida’ but the license plates of his beat up a$$ 80’s truck said ‘Kentucky’
He apparently ‘gets to travel alot’ because of his job. Which one i dont know, or dont care. I live 2 hrs from my mom, and my sister (who is 16) called me hysterical last night because my mom left for work and left her & my 6 yr old brother alone with this guy. I drove all the way there, and threatened to call Child Services on her if she didnt kick him out.
I know he just went to a hotel because the windows were open and we could hear them talking.
I told my siblings (I only just turned 20 by the way) that if he comes back to call me.
I want to find as much info on this scum bag as possible so i can prove to my mom shes an idiot. Is there a legal way to check his plates, some kinda government website i can check to see if he REALLY worked there & anything else?
His van was PACKED with stuff, it didnt look like he planned on leaving anytime soon. They have been using my moms vehicle & her gas to get around, he’s free loading off her.
She told me last night i was not welcome in her home anymore. It hurts, because she does this anytime someone says or does something that she does not agree with (OH any by the way, this guy stood in the kitchen calling me & my siblings ‘irresponsible, crazy, looney’ and my mom said not one word)

It’s a little expensive to pay for the searches and the data will be at least one year old, but it can give you an idea of whether he’s a scumbag or a decent person.
There are plenty of background check websites which are perfectly legal — do a search for "online background check," and you’ll get a lot of options. Most of those have a $29.99 or $39.99 option where you can get some pretty decent background, including state and federal convictions.
To be more thorough, you’ll have to spend a little more money on an actual investigator. Once you’re spending more than $25-50, you may as well spend the money for an expert. Many of these will do a thorough search for you for $100-200, which may be plenty of information for you to be satisfied.
If you know his full name you can get online and pay to do a background check on him. If you know what state he lives or claims to live in you can go online and some of the prison/jail websites for the state will give you information on him if he has a record. Check the child predator sites to see if he’s listed there as well. Good luck with this and be sure to follow through with authorities if you think your siblings are in danger.
Bravo! You need to get your brother out of that situation immediately! I’m not sure about a website to check the plates, but contact your local police and advise them of the situation, I think that they may have the capability of tracing the plates.
About your mother, it is a shame that women are so needy that they put men before their children.
I wish I knew the answer to this question. I feel for you and your siblings. Your Mom must not be very good at being alone but, she has 2 other kids to worry about. It is sad that she isn’t putting them first before her men. I would call the police and see what they tell you. Tell them you have concerns for your brother and sister. They will let you know one way or another what to do.

Unfortunately there is no legal way of checking someones license plate unless you are a police officer or other law enforcement. What you can do, is find out what is full name is and check public records via the internet. You can google his name, you can go to Kentucky’s state government website and search via their public records as well. Most of the time it is free and all you need is his full name and approximate age. In addition, I would go ahead and call child protective services anyway and explain the situation. They will be very helpful even if they themselves can not take the case as of yet. There are also several pay for service websites out there that for about $20-$30 bucks, you can do as many searches in as many states for public records on anyone you wish. All perfectly legal. Good luck, it sounds like this dude is scum. You are right to be looking out for your younger siblings. Lets all hope no one gets hurt.

This is the website I used when I needed some info on an ex boyfriend. Your mom really isn’t using good judgement at all on this one. Isn’t there a grandparent you can call? Maybe you can notify the police of the situation and they could help you out somehow.. ? If possible, I would be inviting my sister and brother to come stay with me a couple of days. You can’t do this alone though. If I were you I would look into seeing if his name is on a pedifile list …sorry im a horrible speller then I would go to my local police station and see if a police officer could run a plate. make sure that you tell them that your sister called in tears and that you don’t know if anything has happened or not but just that your conserned.
