Any tips on finding the 'one'?

March 6th, 2010 by admin | Posted in Single Dating Services

i’ve had dates and guys interested but never really a serious relationship. I can never find the perfect guy and now i don’t really go out much cause of issues.
I read that using a dating web site can help you find someone but i haven’t really yet. I talk to nice ones but it never goes that close enough to meet and i’m nervous just to anyone. I don’t talk much and shy as well,.

And some men just want to meet for sex which is not me.

I met a wonderful guy on a dating site, who I’ve been dating for 7 months. That being said, it’s very difficult to find the right guy just by going on dates. You’ll most likely find him in your every day life, when you least expect it.
If you’re going to try for a dating website, don’t spend too much time talking before you meet. Talk only enough to make sure the guy’s not a pervert, and then meet in a public place, like at a starbucks, and chat for a little while, to see if you get along and are attracted to each other.

Big trick is knowing what you want, being realistic about what’s possible, and sticking to your values.

A long term relationship is about growing up, growing together. The odds that you find someone who’s ‘perfect’ to start with approach zero. What’s really key is finding someone who has the same values and goals that you do, and who’s willing to work with you across the years.
The only way to know who’s out there is to meet people. Whatever it takes. Find an interesting social activity or club or volunteer/civic group. Something that gets you out of the house.

If you’re searching for "The One," you won’t find him.

The reason being is that you are so eager to find him that you will take the first halfway decent guy and put him on a pedestal. You will make him your ideal and change yourself to meet him just because he’s the closest thing you’ve come to perfect so far. This is called "settling" and it’s part of the reason why the divorce rate is so high. People settle for someone and then end up resenting that person when they don’t meet expectations later in life.

Stop searching. If you believe in "The One" then you’ll meet him eventually, whether you’re searching or not.

i would say just be yourself. If they are interested in dating or maybe a second date then they will let you know. I would say just go out and go on many dates with different guys. Travel a bit.
Alot of guys only want sex. And they dont respect you. Drop them hard!

Find something you love doing that makes you happy, and then find someone who loves seeing you happy!

I hate to say it but the only tip is.. dont go looking for love, it will find you! if you obsess and hunt a "perfect" man down you will never find him!
I found my fiance after i came out of a crappy relationship where i thot "thats it im gonna be single forever, i cant be bothered with this crap anymore!", literally weeks after.. and thing was i liked him a little to start with but it wasnt love at first sight or i knew right away, it takes time to realise someone is "the one". take care
