i was a ’suki’ in our neighbor internet cafe in marikina. i was there almost every weekend, and a few times during the week as well before i got my own computer, hehehe. as to when i started, it was sometime early 2000. back then, the rental was 50-60 pesos per hour!
as for internet cafes, i’ve used netopia at farmer’s market in cubao; also this internet cafe in sm megamall, i just forget the name at the moment; and pacific internet cafe at the cyber area in sm megamall too. i remember netopia as the first major franchise that i saw springing up almost everywhere in metro manila.
i also went to some internet rentals in laguna, but these were more like the local ones, not franchises. that was around 2003.

just tell them, a lot of pinoys are really good in investing internet cafes…and its "malakas!"..there’s lot of internet cafes..dont know each of their names..you can just go outside the streets,for sure there will always be one internet cafe

A week before I left the country, I found I needed Internet to find the address of Itihad Airline in Makati, and I guess I found one in Cubao, one of the big malls over there. I found their address and phone number through the net. I called, and they said there’s no need to go there since my ticket is confirmed. So, I had the whole day free – and I went drinking. I got so drunk I forgot where this Internet Cafe was and what was its name, as well as who I was, and which country I was in.

there is an internet cafe near my aparment, 25 pesos per hour i think. i don’t remember the price as i always think it’s cheap.
when im in the mall, i use netopia, a bit more expensive but faster service and comfy zone. and when u think of internet cafe in the mall, netopia just comes into mind.
