Dating Older Men?
My friend has been with a ton of men who she says are "18 or 19" and in some cases have said that also but i know that there is no way. She has had sexual relationships with all but one of the 4 men and she is only 16. Is it illegal for older men 20+ to have a sexual relationship with a 16 year old? I’m worried about her and need some tips to get her to stop dating guys who are that much older; she’s dated a guys as old as 26 when she was only 14(there relationship was almost all sex). It’s gross. She had dated 3/4 men knowing there real age but lied to me and other friends so we wouldn’t say anything I’m guessing. Help advice please. She is currently in 10th grade, i mean i’ve heard of dating older guys but this is taking it to far. How do i get through to her?

What state are you in?
In NJ, the age of consent is 16; that is, she CAN legally consent to having sex at 16.
If she is under 16 in NJ, it is still legal as long as the boyfriend is less than 4 years older than her. For example, 15 /19, 14/18, and 13 /17 are all acceptable under NJ law.
Other states might be different.
Canada’s legal AOC was raised to 16 last month.
Before that, it was 14, so if you’re Canadian, it’s not illegal.

tell her parents. tell a school official. call the police when she goes out with these guys. get her help before she ends up hurt or worse.
I’m guessing she has low self-esteem issues and is using sexual encounters to fill the love/attention void she has currently. Your friend is allowing men to mistreat her, using her solely for sex and she doesn’t respect herself enough to even care. You should straight up tell her- "I am your friend & I care about you. I don’t want to find your body lying in the street one day beaten and abused… or that your missing out on our prime time together because your going to get pregnant."
Well it is illegal for anyone over 18 to have sex with someone under 18 in any state. Some courts have had some leniency when ages are close, but recently it has become more black and white. You really need to report it to someone at school. She is incapable of taking care of it herself or she would not be sleeping with them.
