Do you feel that the “Marriage & Divorce” section has become the “Singles & Dating” section for “adults”?
I put "adults" in quotation marks because it seems that those questions are just as immature as those asked in "Singles & Dating", yet they are supposedly from posters aged 18 or older…
I mean, at least half the questions don’t seem to have ANYTHING to do with a marriage or a divorce…

I DO AGREE w/you. It does seem there are MORE & more b/f g/f questions on this site than there use to be. I was on singles & dating & M & D when I first started on Y.A. but got bored w/the kids asking questions about their b/fs & g/fs so switched to M & D. Since I’ve been married a few times, divorced a few times I tho’t THIS IS where I "belong", this is where I can give the most help. Now I’m seeing more & more b/f g/f questions. I KNOW they want "mature" ans., that’s why they do it. But still, this should be for M & D questions or anything pertaining to marriage. Guess we’ll take the best questions that appeal to us, that’s what I do anyway…:)

Many people come here in hopes of adult responses. The singles section unfortunately is primarily younger folk…ages 10 and up from what I’ve gathered. If the question doesn’t appeal to you, don’t answer it. If you can help with a mature honest effort then do so. Some of the questions are indeed off the wall, but weed through those and help the people you feel need it, You can usually tell a real question from someone just asking immature questions. Just because the age should be 18…doesn’t mean the young-ins won’t invade M&D also. Pick and choose…go with your gut!

Its either the "adult" version of "Singles & Dating", as you said, or it seems to be all about complaining about significant other (notice the word "spouse" wasn’t used) or it about cheating. Granted this section is meant for divorce, which will rarely come with good things to say, but what about the marriage half? Where is all the good things about marriage in this section? No one comes on here talking about an email they got from their deployed spouse, just saying "I love you." Or what about the random roses that showed up at the door, not for any holiday, anniversary, birthday, etc, but just because? Why don’t people talk about a vacation they took to the beach on their anniversary? Or the nights they stay up late just watching movies and eating popcorn? This section, this whole site really, just always seems to be about the bad things in life. What happened to celebrating the good?
