Help About What To Do About My Dad?
Okay. This is a little long-winded. Sorry x
Around May 2008, I found my Dad on Friends Reunited Dating claiming that he was divorced and had no children.
Since then, he’s just progressed to becoming more unfaithful. For example:
- He’s created a Facebook account with 500 women friends who he doesn’t know. 1 of them being a prostitute who works in the Birmingham area. About once a month he’ll go up to Birmingham claiming he’s on a work trip.
- He has sent messages to other women saying, "And I thought I was all yours now?", "Is anybody in?" and, "I’d really like to see a picture of you, if you wish, we could keep it between us two?"
- He has a woman (Early 20’s) on his block list who has all of his facial features. Nose, eyes etc. Is he hiding something?
- He has adult sex sites in his history. For example, "Free! Adult sex chat site! Find horny singles near you!" etc. About 5 of these, that I found. Who knows if there are more.
- He has around 4 different email accounts, that I know of. Again, who knows if there are more.
So I spoke to Childline and explained to them how I’d already tried to speak to him twice about it already but he’d continued with his actions. They strongly adviced I didn’t speak to him about it again. Today I went and confined in a teacher who I strongly trust and he recommended that I speakt to him about it?
What do I do? Do I speak to him? If so, what should I say? Please be aware that my Dad has a short and violent temper.
Just have to add, he’s been married to my Mum for 25 years and he has me and my sister. I’m 16 and she’s 13.

How old are you… and you said he was unfaithful- so you are living with both parents?
If you are under 18, and you live with your dad, tell a trusted adult family member (your grandparents, uncles or aunts about his unhealthy habit.
If you are an adult, I suggest you figure a way to get away from his destructive behavior.
Confronting someone who has a short temper is probably not a good idea- if neither of those ideas works for you, I would seriously consider butt-ing out of his personal life! This is not a healthy action you should be witnessing about your dad.

Call him over and in a very calm tone tell him whats bothering you. Make it sound like you’re worried about him and he hopefully wont get angry. Where is your mom? Try talking to her about it, and maybe you can get some proffessional help like family therapy. If he hurts you, tell someone right away. I hope you manage to sort this out.
if your dad not stopping chances are he’s not going to. i take it that your young than maybe you and your other family members should all go because if he is that violent tempered someone will end up getting hurt. if you want. get him some help by a counlor or more.
If he has a short and violent temper, meaning he physically attacks you, wait until he bruises you or marks you and call child protective services on him. He needs to learn that that’s NEVER okay.
Otherwise, take screenshots and save them, (by pressing printscreen, then opening paint or anther photo program and pressing "ctrl v".) and show them to your mom.
